**POSTPONED** - Wonky Town Music Festival

To our Wonky Town Community,

We are writing this with extremely heavy hearts, to announce the postponement of Wonky Town Music & Arts Festival, scheduled to take place June 6th-9th, 2024. This decision was not made lightly, and we wanted to provide context and clarity regarding this unfortunate turn of events.

As many of you know, we have been eagerly preparing for this year's inaugural festival, pouring our hearts and souls into creating an unforgettable experience for all attendees. However, amidst our preparations, an unexpected obstacle has arisen, leading to the difficult decision to postpone the event until 2025.

Last year, the land on which our festival was to be held was devastated by a forest fire, leaving a significant impact on the area. With the upcoming wildfire season anticipated to be earlier this year, due to extended drought conditions, it was crucial for us to collaborate closely with the emergency management staff at RDOS (Regional District of Okanagan-Similkameen) and the Town of Princeton Fire Department to discuss emergency planning, to ensure the safety and well-being of all involved.

In our efforts to collaborate with the fire department, to develop and submit our comprehensive fire safety plan for the event, we have encountered challenges due to the landowner's reluctance to involve such government authorities. Despite our best efforts to address this concern, we have been unable to reach a resolution that aligns with our commitment to safety.

To our ticket holders, we want to thank you for your excitement and eagerness to visit Wonky Town 2024. We understand that this news may come as a disappointment, and we sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
